Day 2 : Income Tax Raids and Surpressing Voices

Let's start with what you hate the most.

India: The Modi Question is a 2023 two-part documentary series aired by BBC Two about the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his relationship with the Muslim minority in the country.

When was it released?

Original release :17 January – 24 January 2023

The Income Tax department is conducting survey at the BBC office in Delhi and Mumbai, news agency ANI has reported citing sources on 14 February.

Why was income tax raid done after the documentary was released? Also, it's banned from everywhere, rarely there's anyone who can access it, then why? You might say it's a coincidence or they deserved it.. Ok, let's see more then

Income Tax Raids on Celebs

The residence of Bollywood filmmakers Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, actress Taapsee Pannu and others have been raided by the Income Tax department in Mumbai.

The reason is? Not something about how they have been doing this for so long, but obviously...

"They have been vocal on the social media platforms and have also raised their concern over the farmers' protest, which has been going at the borders of the national capital."

...something said against the government of India

But, let's give it a benefit of doubt for now since, filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane faced a raid at his residence since he was also a part of Phantom Films. Filmmaker Madhu Mantena's residence and office have also been searched.

What have they done against the government?

"do not endorse or support" any form of violence or vandalism but they do support the right of the citizen to engage in peaceful protest, terming it a "sacred right, integral to democracy", which they felt has been "curbed" in UP.

So, they are against CAA which was of course, a law implemented by our government.

What about Madhu Matena?

He's clean so far, apart from being a co-founder of KWAN Talent Agency Management, which Sushant Singh Rajput had paid fees to, but that's a whole new other topic, unrelated to this.

So, maybe my reasoning is illogical and deadset against the government. Perhaps, I am suffering from confirmation bias.
