Negative growth

Image
All companies have it, a list of losses.  The opposite of profits.  A zig-zag line slowly going downwards towards the negative value of a y-co-ordinate. Today, I realized what it is to see your what you earned reducing it's value slowly. Today, I realized how it is to see people go from your life, you exiting from theirs, never to see, contact or meet each other again, as they cease whatever feelings they had for you, merely labelling it as "indifference"  They take the hope of "See you tomorrow" and end it without ever saying goodbye.  Today, I realized how it is to see yourself without a role, when you tried to get rid of it so hard only to see yourself now, nothing without it. It was the thing that defined you, helped you identify with people, and now it's shedding itself, taking away everything it build till now. Today, I realized I am actually nothing when I thought I had everything.  It found it's way to someone else, while I sat here haplessly th...

The Parameters we don't want to follow

The Illusion of Parameters Education     As we all are taught to live in this society, we are all expected to meet certain standards to be known as "good enough" and receive appreciation for it. They are usually as follows :- - Decent Marks - A circle of friends - No bad rumors/ caught in everyone-gossips about it drama (Clean reputation) - Do not piss off authority Whatever you achieve above this, increased participation in all activities, better performance in sports, favored by teachers, all-rounder yada yada. And males, also have to follow the same route except it can be a few years later, their late twenties or early thirties to be precise. Most people in my life are ambitious, want to get their dream career, fly abroad for further studies or job (if they get the one that sends them), do a number of things to earn income, hobbies for fun and travel as well as eating. Exploring themselves, finding a way to turn their passion into the job they love (add all millennial dreams that boomers look down upon here. ) The work hard to :- Connect with people (Networking),  Up skill themselves,  Acquire knowledge,  Engage in volunteering or anything else that they can get in. (My friend is in this and that...)  It's not much of a surprise that we look at marriage as an indirect obstacles to our lifesty...

Adventure

A rollercoaster ride Holding hands with your date Watching a bone-chilling horror movie Walking through the dark alleys Heartbeats palpating Shivers of excitement Lip-biting eagerness Wide-eyed wonder The wash of relief A nervous laugh An anticipation of more with absolute glee An adventure Perhaps, short-lived Captured in my feelings Forever
