Creatively Negative
Art of Being Creatively Negative
"She is practicing her skill everyday. What about you?"
"He could solve this faster and better than you, Why weren't you able to do the same?"
Our thoughts are extreme. They sway between feeling like the earth is revolving around you to feeling like you belong in the garbage dump. But, you already knew that anyway.
Maybe you have gotten rid of it;
no longer think about it or;
simply brush it off when it's over.
Oooooorrrrrr.....
You feel bogged down by it. The baggage feels heavy. What a waste of energy, you think to yourself. I shall not let my self-esteem or self-love reduce, which I have boosted with great effort.
Embracing life as it comes, trying to see your own strengths through people's compliments and your value through the relationships you built upon, the goals you have met and the dreams you wish to fulfill. (and plenty of other means of whose reasons are known to you.)
(A scene from Bojack Horseman - dealing with his inner voice)
What if we play with that thought?
Challenge it?
If we can be quite negative about ourselves,
we can kick and thrash around that thought like it's a waste of time right
(since you can diminish your own importance to nothingness right)?
Oops, that may have come out harsher.
Well, two negative make a positive. So, let's use this to our advantage!
Getting back to those thoughts...
That girl who's been practicing? Yeah, she's been trying her best..
But, You've been trying hard as well!
Just doing different things than she does!
You will do good as well but you seem to compare yourself to a person who's better than you at something and end up, feeling low about yourself.
Ultimately undermining your efforts, time and ideas.
Not realizing you're just focusing on what her outcome is, not exactly her trajectory of what it took her to reach there.
Don't do that, it's unrealistic and won't magically make you as good as her.
You're a different person from her and that's what make you use different methods, thinking process than she does.
So, next time you get a thought like this, remember to
1) Take a deep breathe. *OOOOMMM*
2) Realize the flaws in that thought.
3) Close your palms in a fist.
4) Open your middle finger.
5) Give a big "FUCK YOU" to that thought.
6) Get back to what you were doing
Done.
You can try doing this and see whether it works. It's not a full-proof solution, maybe you will even discard it, disapproving of the way it all works.
Do tell me why in the comment section, if that happens!
Koro-sensei from Assassination Classroom (anime) disapproves of your existence.
Meanwhile, have an energetic day!
